The team behind the multi million pound project transforming Chester’s Odeon into a world class cultural centre  are offering members of the public the opportunity to be part of the centre’s history by naming a seat in the theatre.

Located on Northgate Street the centre will accommodate an inspirational library, state of the art theatre spaces, a boutique cinema, café and bars. The steel work is already complete and can be seen well above the hoardings on Hunter and Northgate Street.

Alex Clifton, Artistic Director of Storyhouse said ‘This is a wonderful way for our communities to feel part of the project and to share their love of theatre. The project will transform the cultural landscape of the entire region: this is a piece of history everyone can be involved with.’

Graham Lister, Project Director, said ‘I hope people will see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to have their name associated with this wonderful, iconic new building.

Donations are set at 3 levels, all payable by direct debit and starting from just £25 a month, guaranteeing a naming plaque in the main auditorium for 20 years. More details can be found at or contact us on 01244 409 113 to request an information booklet.
