The film gives a unique bird’s eye view of the construction site on Northgate Street, currently transforming Chester’s art deco Odeon cinema into world class library, theatre and cinema spaces.

Graham Lister, Project Director, said ‘this is a rare opportunity to get a completely different perspective on the cultural centre, the film demonstrates the scale of the project in relation to the city.’

Chester based film Production Company Veracity reported the drone flew 100m above the site to gather the footage, 30 metres higher than the crane currently dominating Chester’s skyline. The drone was operated by a pilot and cameraman, it weighed less than 3 kilos.

Andy Porter, Veracity said ‘Drone technology is revolutionising film making. It means we can quickly and efficiently get very high quality, completely stable aerial footage to help enhance films and offer entirely fresh perspectives for our clients. The results are breath-taking”
